Meet our latest recruit: Debbie
Debbie Green's dog, Marley | Locked and Secure Ltd

I’m not Debbie, I’m her dog, Marley.

We’re delighted to introduce you to our latest member of staff, Debbie Green. Debbie’s joined us in our Milton Keynes office, helping us manage the day to day running of the business. You may well have spoken to her if you’ve called us or if we’ve been in touch with you over the last month or so, and I think you’ll agree she’s a great asset to our team!

We asked Debbie some questions to help you get to know her, and here’s what she said:

What did you do prior to working for Locked and Secure?

“I spent 27 years working for the Home Office in the prison service. I started off working as an administration assistant and switchboard operator, before becoming an administration officer and then an executive officer. I had various duties during my time there, which included keeping prisoner records and secretariat work for the learning and skills department. When I became an executive officer, I managed the department of employment and education of the prisoners.

“After leaving the prison service, I worked in the retail trade for four years. I ended up leaving retail as I really missed having office work to do, which is why I was so keen to work for Locked and Secure when I heard they had a vacancy.”

Why did you want to work for Locked and Secure?

“As I’ve mentioned, one of the main reasons I wanted to work for Locked and Secure is because they were offering part time office work, which suits me down to the ground. It’s given me the opportunity to reinstate my office skills in a nice, friendly environment.

“I also knew Karen and David before they employed me so I’d heard a lot about Locked and Secure, and I really like their company ethos. I like that they’re a family-run business and they put customer service at the heart of everything they do, and since I’ve been here, I can tell their customers feel the same.

“I feel very lucky to work for Locked and Secure. It’s a really friendly busy office and I’m learning a whole new world of business and enjoying the challenge! It’s a totally different world on the outside!”

What motivates you?

“Learning new processes and finding out how a business works motivates me. I enjoy a challenge and I like getting things done. Seeing a piece of work through to completion gives me satisfaction. I’m not one for doing things later.”

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

“I have quite a few hobbies. I love looking after my grandchildren and walking, which is a good job as I walk our cockerpoo, Marley, on a daily basis. I read loads of books, especially novels, and I can get through quite a few when I’m soaking up the sun holiday!”

Debbie has thrown herself into her new role, and we couldn’t be happier with how she gets on and gets the job done. Please join us in welcoming her to our Locked and Secure family as she helps us to help you keep your homes and businesses secure.
